Will Candidates Answer Questions Honestly?
Do you really want candidates who wouldn't answer an assessment honestly?
Personal Honesty
Definition
The willingness to bravely answer the assessment questions honestly even though the applicants may think the answers will put them in poor light.
This trait helps to tell if the person answered the assessment questionnaire honestly enough for the results to be reliable. Regardless of how low this trait is, the personality type, or quadrant, will still be accurate as the person has enhanced their answers on each quadrant.
What the Trait is NOT
The trait does not directly measure a person’s trustworthiness or tendency toward theft. The trait by itself does not measure how accurately the assessment taker understands his or her true strengths and weaknesses.

Extreme Low Range
0 to 7. Research shows that results in this range usually indicate integrity and attitude problems but not always. The ability of the assessment to predict is reduced from 90 to about 70%.
Low Range
8 to 21. Scores in this zone will always indicate the person’s inability to be truthful with themselves and/or with others. The ability of the assessment to predict is reduced to about 77%. If you seem to get a lot of people answering in this low range then check to see that those filling in the questionnaires have been told they will be measured on how honestly they answer the assessment questions.
Medium Range
22 to 60. Above 22 is unfortunately pretty normal for most candidates and above 50 is normal for most people filling in the questionnaires for personal reasons (not applying for a job).
High Range
61 to 100. The person is likely to be quite hard on him or herself. People like this tend to be hard on themselves when answering the questionnaires but the assessment marker automatically gives them credit for that. If the Assessment Honesty trait is in this same range and the dishonesty trait is below 5, then this person is an honest person.
For Hiring Managers
If you seem to get a lot of people answering this trait in a low range then check to see that those filling in the questionnaires have been told the assessment is sensitive to how honestly it is filled in.
